La primera carta a los Corintios tenía como propósito corregir varios problemas que se presentaban en la iglesia allí en aquel momento. Y como ya bien sabemos, uno de los problemas más sobresaliente era el partidismo alrededor de cada uno de los diferentes líderes de la iglesia, este partidismo resultó en peleas internas que terminaron por dividir a la iglesia.

The first letter to the Corinthians was intended to correct several problems arising in the church there at that time. And as we well know, one of the most outstanding problems was the partisanship around each of the different church leaders. This resulted in partisan infighting that eventually split the church.
